The World of Books

Have you ever read a book that took you out of the world you were in? You knew people where around you and things were going on but you couldn't focus you were so wrapped up in their world. I have a few times and each time it happens it's so hard to refocus on the real world. I was there today with a series of books called Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. I had the first two books from the library this morning and was so sucked in that even after reading the plot online I had to go and buy the 3rd book. The interesting part of it to me is that I don't know if I liked them or not but that I had to finish them. Until they were finished I couldn't think of anything else. Have you had a book do this to you?

Roses and Rain

  1. I used to feel this way about babysitter's club books, especially the vacation ones. It's been a long time since I have been able to emmerse myself in something not based in reality, but it is sort of wonderful. Enjoy!

  2. I love The Baby-Sitters Club books! I own all of them and have been collecting them since the first grade.
